Dr. Shawn M. Murray earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1998 from Weber State University where he majored in Spanish. His lifetime interest of dentistry evolved into continuing his education by earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific in 2004.
His passion for the science of orthodontics led him to invest 27 months of study and research at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center completing his Certificate in Orthodontics in 2006. After completion of his orthodontic training, Dr. Murray completed the necessary exams to become a board-certified orthodontist. Dr. Murray’s passion and desire to provide his patients with the very best treatment is a reflection of how much he cares about his patients. His orthodontic treatment philosophy is patient-centered. He treats to the individual characteristics of each patient and their inherent uniqueness. It is very important to Dr. Murray that his patients enjoy their orthodontic experience and benefit from a healthy, beautiful smile.
Dr. Murray's greatest accomplishment in life is his family. When he is not busy seeing patients, he enjoys playing with his three kids and exploring the outdoors. Dr. Murray is an ex-surfer from California who now enjoys hitting the slopes with his snowboard, as well as skiing, mountain biking, hiking, camping and golf.
